Prairie Food Co-op

Prairie Food Co-op opened its doors in July 2025 as an 8,000-square-foot, community-owned grocery right in the Eastgate Shopping Center in Lombard. The co-op was built by neighbors who wanted a store that puts local farmers first, and they follow through by focusing on producers within about 200 miles and prioritizing regenerative, organic, and responsibly raised food. Anyone can shop there, but folks who choose to become Owners get a real voice in how the store runs, along with monthly discounts and other perks that help keep this community-driven model going strong. We’re grateful to be part of a place that values transparency, good stewardship, and strong relationships between farmers and the families we feed.
