Our raw honey comes from Rubee's Honey, a family-owned apiary with roots in both southwest Florida and southwest Michigan. Founded by Josh and Briesa Ruby, they care for hundreds of hives and harvest only raw, unfiltered honey, never flash-heated, pasteurized, or altered with additives.
Several years ago, increasing summer heat, heavy rains, hurricanes, and the loss of natural forage in Florida began taking a toll on their bees. Rather than accept declining hive health, the Rubys made the remarkable decision to move their hives to southern Michigan each summer, where abundant wildflowers and a milder climate allow their bees to thrive.
The result is a beautifully balanced raw honey that reflects the nectar of southwest Michigan's fields, forests, and meadows. We're proud to partner with Rubee's Honey and share a product from beekeepers who go the extra mile to care for their bees and produce exceptional honey.
