Meet Silo City Farms Popping Ears, grown just north of our farm in Decatur, Michigan. These whole ears of yellow popcorn are hand-harvested from a small, carefully tended field by a local farming family trying something a little different.
The family at Silo City Farms planted their first small popcorn patch in 2023, simply to try something outside their usual rotation. What started as a small experiment grew into a full field by 2025. We're glad to help share what they're growing and support more local food production right here in Southwest Michigan.
Popping Ears make popcorn a little more fun! Instead of loose kernels, you get two whole ears of popcorn, ready to pop right off the cob. Simply place an ear in the included microwave-safe popping bag, follow the instructions, and watch the kernels pop!
A few simple notes:
- Two Ears Per Package: Each bag contains two ears of yellow popping corn.
- Microwave Popping: Microwave-safe popping bags are included.
- Storage: Keep in a cool, dry place until you're ready to pop.
- Naturally Non-GMO & Gluten-Free: Just simple, whole-grain popcorn grown close to home.
A fun way to enjoy a familiar snack while supporting a local farm that's growing something new.
