A Father's Dream That Became a Farm

With Father's Day just around the corner, I've been thinking a lot about my dad and the dreams that helped build the farm our family now calls home.
A few years after graduating high school, my parents purchased the farm where Nick and I now live and raise our own family. Back then, they were simply a young couple with a dream. My mom still talks about one of their dates when they sat together and sketched out what their dream farm would look like.
A few barns.
Animals grazing in the fields.
A place to raise a family.
Simple dreams; but big dreams too.
Today, when my mom looks across the farm, she often reflects on how incredible it is to see so much of that vision become reality. What they couldn't have imagined then was the amount of work, sacrifice, dedication, and faith it would take to build it.
My dad has never stopped dreaming.
His mind is always moving through new ideas, new possibilities, and new adventures. Whether it was making movies, exploring nature, hunting, farming, or building businesses, he has always approached life believing there is something more around the next corner.
But what I admire most about him isn't his ability to dream.
It's his ability to connect.
My dad can strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere. He listens. He cares. He makes people laugh. He remembers people's stories. He has a way of making them feel seen.
Wrapped together, those qualities have made him an incredible leader, husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
Most importantly, his life has been grounded by an unwavering faith and reverence for our good Lord. He was the person who helped lead my mother to Christ. Together, through decades of marriage, raising children, weathering challenges, and celebrating blessings, their faith has remained at the center.
What they have built is not something they accomplished alone. It is a gift from God, given through His perfect timing, grace, and provision.
This Father's Day, I find myself especially grateful for the fatherly influences that have shaped my life. Whether it is your father, grandfather, husband, mentor, pastor, or friend, I pray you take a moments to celebrate those who have guided, encouraged, and invested in others.
Just in Time for Father's Day Grilling
In what feels like perfect timing, we recently received a major restock of our 100% grass-fed and grass-finished beef.
Our freezers are once again stocked with an incredible lineup of steaks, ready for Father's Day grills and summer gatherings.
Behind every steak is 2 years of work. My brother has spent countless hours refining our grazing program through constant cattle movement, timely forages, and careful attention to the nutrient profile of the grasses our cattle consume. No antibiotics. No shortcuts. Just healthy animals, healthy pastures, fresh water, and plenty of room to roam.
The result is clean, flavorful beef raised the way nature intended.
