Christmas 2025

We hope you had a very Merry Christmas. We are deeply thankful for each and every one of you who chose to support our farm and feed your families food raised by us.

In the days leading up to the holiday, our hands were full; getting everything into the freezers, packing boxes, coordinating with UPS, and showing up at drops and markets so we could see many of you face to face before heading home to celebrate Christmas with our own families. It’s a full season in every sense of the word.

The fluctuating winter weather has also kept us busy here on the farm; making sure the animals are fed, have access to clean, flowing water, and are bedded down with plenty of dry, fluffy comfort is daily work, no matter the temperature. If you ever find yourself near our farm this time of year, you’ll notice the sheep, pigs, and cattle still grazing and nosing around beneath the snow-blanketed ground. It never gets old watching them thrive in all kinds of weather; it is just as fascinating to watch the men gear up and head out to work right alongside those striking animals, day after day.

The holidays are busy, bustling, and bursting at the seams with responsibility and magic-making; and somehow, we did it.

On a personal note, I attended four family parties in one week; bringing food and gifts to all four, and questioning myself more than once during the preparation. Why do I try to do all of this? The answer always comes later; during fits of laughter around a table full of food and people I deeply care for. In those moments, I am reminded to thank myself for overdoing it, for working late into the night, and for stressing over the small things; because now I get to fully take in the silly, joyful moments that come from gathering a big, loud, loving family together.

How blessed we are to celebrate the birth of our Savior surrounded by decorated trees and wrapped treasures to enjoy throughout the year. How blessed we are to share real, nourishing food; morning, noon, and night. As we step into a new year, I pray for strength, steadiness, and goodness for us all.

The History of Meat Drops

During the winter months, we stay connected through our Meat Drops. What started with a notepad and a rotary phone looks a little different these days, but every order reminder still takes us back to the early days. This is a small look at how that winter rhythm began, and why, all these years later, it still matters to us.

Why We Choose A Different Way

For more than 25 years, our family has raised and sold meat directly to the families who cook it. What started as a simple decision to offer a different option has shaped how we farm today and how real food can quietly strengthen your year, one steady choice at a time.

CREATE & CONQUER

At the start of each year, Renee chooses one word to help set the tone for the months ahead. Last year, that word was CREATE. It wasn’t about chasing a goal or making a big change, but about paying attention to how often creating shows up in everyday life, especially on the farm. As this year wrapped up, choosing the next word took a little more time. With new projects ahead and a few challenges on the horizon, 2026 is already asking for a different kind of focus.
