Introducing our mouthwatering Breakfast Smash Sandwich! Inspired by the ever-popular smash burgers, this delectable creation takes your breakfast game to a whole new level. We've taken juicy pork sausage patties and given them a satisfying smash on the frying pan, creating crispy edges that add an irresistible texture. Stacked with a fried egg, melted Havarti cheese, market-fresh arugula & tomato, add a dollop of mayo and this sandwich is a flavor-packed delight from the first bite to the last.

Directions

Ingredients:

  • 6 pork sausage patties
  • 6 large eggs
  • 6 slices of Havarti cheese
  • Handful of fresh arugula
  • 6 tomato slices
  • 6 English muffins or your preferred bread
  • Mayonnaise
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Butter or cooking oil for frying

Instructions:

  1. Preheat a frying pan over medium heat and add a little butter or cooking oil. Place the pork sausage patties in the pan and smash down on the patty with a spatula. Cook until they are browned with crispy edges.
  2. Toast the English muffins in a toaster until they are golden brown, add butter if desired.
  3. In the same frying pan, crack the eggs and cook them to your preferred doneness. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Assemble the sandwiches by spreading mayonnaise on one side of each toasted English muffin half.
  5. Place a cooked sausage patty on the mayo side of the muffin.
  6. Add a slice of Havarti cheese on top of the patty, allowing it to melt slightly from the warmth.
  7. Layer fresh arugula and tomato slice on the cheese.
  8. Once the eggs are cooked, place a fried egg on the arugula.
  9. Complete the sandwich by placing the remaining English muffin half on top of the egg, pressing it down gently.
  10. Repeat the process for the remaining ingredients to make the desired number of sandwiches.
  11. Serve the breakfast smash sandwiches while still warm and enjoy the delicious combination of flavors and textures.
